Shiny New Toy

What better way to welcome my Saturday and my weekend then a shiny new toy.

That is to say the IMac my tax check partially went to.

I'm a little overwhelmed by how big it is. But it is so nice to be back on Mac full time-and also on leopard. Mama and I finally came by means of internet, not the best, but for the bill we can't complain. Did I mention that I love using a keyboard again? There's something about a desk top computer's set up that is just beautiful.

In other news, expect revisits to the world of Harry Potter! I am currently relishing rereading, and noticing things this time around that I both love and loathe (IE: Dumbledore what the bloody hell were you thinking when you left a one year old in a bundle of blankets alone on a door step in the middle of Halloween Night in ENGLAND?! Harry very well could have died of Exposure, you idiot!).

I'll be posting those on a chapter by chapter basis, but for now, well, I'm just relishing connectivity again!

Life Continues

So. Further update. I have a slight case of tonsillitis.

My tax check came and went. Rent for next month covered. A new iMac Desktop. Well. New refurbished from New Egg.

And a bed frame.

Also my kindle came in and I am beginning to reread Harry Potter from the beginning. Chapter reactions to follow in later entries.

Updates

Guns, Again

I hate this argument. I hate that so often Gun Owners will go on about how they shouldn't be inconvenienced over a few bad eggs.

1. This is the not all men argument. It ignores the issue.

2. Actually yes. Your inconvenience is trumped by the right of others to live.

Guns are tools, yes, like scalpels.

The question is do you trust people with those tools.

In high school we did disections. And I opted to do a virtual version, not because I was grossed out or an ethical concern

But because I didn't trust my classmates with a scalpel.

Low and behold, one of the boys sodomized a fetal pig with his pencil.

Americans have no intrinsic sense of self responsibility. The American people cannot unite under the idea that Trump is a terrible president, and they will not unite if there was a need for the Militia against a common enemy.

So far all thats occurred was a take over of a Bird Sanctuary in Oregon. Not even for a good cause.

I barely trust people. Because when someone commits a crime it's someone else's fault.

I have to be particularly aware of this as a woman.

I barely trust people now.

I couldn't trust people

If everyone had a gun?

Well. My bills for grocery delivery would go up.

Still unpacking. However the healing has begun. Not my arm as much. But my mental.

Home

I own too much stuff. I hardly use much of it. That is what I have learned in the process of moving.

I have already slimmed down my wardrobe from the four duffle bags I transported to one.

My plush collection is harder to donate and part from. But it takes up a lot of space so even some of them are in the donation box.

Its books that are the hardest. I have long been a die-hard advocate for printed books rather then digital. However, I cannot deny that an e-reader takes a lot less space then traditional books. I have my eye on an older Kindle Keyboard.

As soon as I get my god damn workman's comp checks. To be fair that might be the post offices fault.

Fortunately my roommate is my mother who is merciful, and as she puts it, my credit is good.

I still have lots to sort, but the new place is home. It is more home then anywhere I have slept in a long time.

Movie Review: The Forest (2016)

I am producing a new movie review system.

Pass or fail.

The Forest (2016) stars Natalie Dormer in Dual Roles, and Eoin Macken Co Starring. Dormer plays twin sisters Sara and Jess. When Jess vanishes into a Suicide Haunted Forest in Japan, and Sara goes looking for her.

Long story short, the movie fails. The pacing is awkward. The story is confusing. The script isn't bad and they handle only having one Dormer pretty well. But overall the movie fails. There's three ways it could have gone in my head, as a writer. Instead of following through on any one of them it was a convoluted tangled mess. Skip the rental, instead watch a decent Horror movie like What Lies Beneath.

A New Age Begins

Its a brand new day. I have escaped the Hell House and Darth Bitchious. It wasn't easy. Even as we were in the process of moving and paid up on rent she had to give us hell. We had too much trash she said, and our rooms were immaculate when we moved in, she said. She felt betrayed by all the specks of mess across the floor and the conditions and how the drugee duo left their room ready to be moved into.

Not that she had any right to be in our rooms until rent was due,  but its easier to tidy up and keep order when you're not huddled in your room hiding like Anne Frank from the Nazis to survive.

My therapist suggested she has dementia. All reports are she's always been a crazy bitch.

It will take time to detox but I will not dwell on purpose.

The new place is amazing. I have a half floor to myself. It's been an unfurnished blank slate. Like an empty Sim house. Except the kitchen was furnished. Now we are making it ours.

I have found peace, joy, and hope once more. The budget will be tight, but gas and food costs will drop.

More tomorrow. Mama and I have finished a fantastic home made taco salad for dinner, banana pudding is chilling, and now it is time for The Forest,

co starring Natalie Dormer and Eoin Macken.

10 Tips For Playing Gen 1 Pokemon

To The Pokemon Trainers of a New Generation

So Nintendo released Generation 1 of Pokemon on the Estore.

Red, Blue,  and Yellow in their beautiful glory. The originals.

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT PSA

1. The first gym is Brock. Earth and Rock type. You will need Earth, Water, or Flight. Or to level up like nobody's business.

2. Red and Blue Only: Pikachu appears randomly in Viridian Forest. YOU DO NOT LEAVE IT UNTIL YOU CATCH THE DAMN THING I DON'T CARE IF YOU HIT PUBERTY. It is your last chance at an electric Pokemon for too many gyms to count.

3. YOU CAN ACCIDENTALLY THROW OUT TMS, HMS, AND KEY ITEMS. This is made more likely because your bag only has one bag and once it fills up (it will)  you can't pick up or buy any more items.

4. Keep track of which Pokemon you have. There is no Pokeball indicator. Or if there is its really tiny a black dot.

5. About your PC. The storage box will not automatically move once full. This is horrible to find out when you are battling a legendary Pokemon.

6. Be prepared to level grind.

7. You will need the Bike Voucher to get that overpriced bike.

8. If you can wait to go on the S. S. Anne in Vermillion city until you can use Strength and Surf, the payout is a Mew under a truck in a Pokeball.

9. You only get two chances at Snorlax. Treat it like a legendary Pokemon.

10. In Yellow version, fear your rival. You start with a disobedient Pikachu. He gets an Eevee. Eevee is a beast who can learn countless moves and then evolve into one of three elemental forms that do not reflect its abilities.

11. Yellow Only: If you evolve Pikachu he stops following you.

Oh and before you go. One of these things is false.

Have fun!

Bruce Wayne

There are countless incarnations of Batman.

In wake of Snyders blunder

I recall my favorite

The 90s animated.

A blushing compassionate saves cats and injured henchmen socially awkward outside the cowl Batman

A Bruce Wayne who blushed when he met Selena.
